Hello from my 84-square foot home!

I’m a Mexico-born, Mexican-American former management consultant, turned RV nomad, and life/career coach. Wow, that’s a mouthful!

Before writing my own, I indulged in reading many other writers’ About Me intros. I love living in such a diverse world and writing among such interesting human beings. I hope I can do my own life (and my parents) justice by sharing a bit about myself:

Life in Mexico

I was born in Mexico City right before the terrible earthquake of 1985. My favorite story about that event is how my American then 23-year old mom held me in her arms under her swaying apartment doorway while I peed my cloth diaper. Through that gesture, perhaps I intended to remind her that she could count on me during the difficult events that would unfold: waiting in long lines to get diapers and food from the Red Cross, living in an old Volkswagen beetle with strangers (and me) while her apartment cleared a gas leak, and tragically, finding out that the nurses and doctors who had helped deliver me months prior lost their lives under a collapsed hospital building. For keeping me alive during that event and for inspiring every step of my life journey, my mom is my #1 hero.
