My name is Ken Yao, and I’m thrilled to embark on my writing journey with this, my first article!

About Me

I consider myself as an introvert. Unlike extroverts, I recharge by spending time alone rather than meeting new people. That said, I do enjoy meeting friends and sharing stories, whether they’re about work, daily life or the old memories we have.

By day, I’m a financial analyst in the bond market, providing investment insights for institutional clients. In my free time, I’m a lifelong learner, eager to discover new things about the world.

I might not be the typical interesting person you see online, with hobbies like cooking, hiking or skiing. Instead, my happiest moments are at home, reading a book, watching YouTube videos, or enjoying a meal with my spouse, friends or family.

Why Do I Start Writing?

Starting a blog is a daunting task for me. As a traditional Asian and Hong Kong native, I don’t often express myself publicly. I’ve always been worried about how others perceive me and whether they find what I say boring or incorrect.
