About Me — Kiara Karir
On going from 100–0 and slowly climbing back up
Unpopular Take- Most Productivity Gurus on social media are a scam.
I said it. Before toxic productivity culture hit me, I was doing just fine. An 18 year old artist, trying to write and draw their way somewhere.
Then disaster struck.
When I tried to get myself to be productive for 16 hours a day, while sleeping for 8, my schedule fell apart.
I had no time for my family. Working on my projects and assignments was all I did.
It slowly backfired, like a viper in a bush. I was burnt out and unable to get anything done.
As my life devolved to complete chaos (as a productivity guru would call it, a dumpster fire of a schedule), I finally felt some peace.
Life is unpredictable. It ebbs and it flows. You can’t live your life to the tune of a rigid plan.
These colossal failures with toxic productivity are why I decided to write about things that actually work.
I’m not a self help guru. Heck, I couldn’t help myself. I AM someone who’s tried and failed a lot, though. I’ve also seen success.
