About Me — Kim Kelly Stamp
A queer, neurodiverse writer who desires to see others set free to be their authentic selves
Hello! If you’re new to my writing, welcome!
I’m the Publisher of The Penny Pub and an Editor with the Parasol Publications collective. I mainly write nonfiction — essays and memoirs but have dabbled in poetry and fiction.
After retiring in June 2021 from a successful career in healthcare management, I dove into writing professionally. My wife and I sold our home and traveled throughout the US in a teardrop-shaped trailer for about three years, which gave me plenty of adventures to write about.
My main writing interests could be condensed into the word AUTHENTICITY. Whether in leadership, parenting, or relationships, life is best lived authentically. My passion for authenticity came from spending years hiding my true self.
I came out of the closet at fifty, ending my twenty-five-year marriage and transforming my life. Though it was challenging, I am grateful to be finally free and to live life the way I’d dreamed.
I have three grown children and a brilliant grandson who captured my heart the moment he was born. He’s managed to wrap his Gigi around his little finger, and I’m okay with that!
