About Me — Kirtañ
Bridging Science and Philosophy: My Journey from Pharmacy to Understanding how the human behavior and brain works.
Introduction
Hello Everyone, This is Kirtan I did my Graduation in Pharmacy and i want to pursue my Master’s in Pharmacology. I found myself drawn beyond the physical aspects of health to the deeper questions of human behavior, psychology, and philosophy.
My journey in this field began when I realized that understanding the brain isn’t just about biology — it’s about exploring how and why we think, act, and experience life the way we do.”
Interests and Inclinations
My Formal education in pharmacy taught me about how medicine affects the human body and brain. And I quickly became fascinated by the brain. The more I learned about it the more I realized how much there is to discover about human behavior, decision-making, and mental health.
I also love to read books (not just academics) i started reading self-help books read many books but I still didn’t know what my specific interests were then i read lots of different books and realized l love to read psychology, philosophy, novel, etc
Alongside my scientific interests, I’ve always been drawn to philosophy. Whether it’s ethics, existentialism, or stoicism, philosophy has shaped how I think about the human experience.
Why to Follow Me
Cause first of all Why Not!!
My goal on Medium is to combine these passions — Pharmacology, psychology, and philosophy — into practical insights for how you can improve yourself. I want to share what I’ve learned with others who are looking to understand themselves, to live more fulfilling lives. As Dostoevsky said, “Every Man is not only responsible for everything he does but for everything everyone else does.”
Little bit more about me
When i was doing my graduation i try to do some different things other than my academics. I am an introvert, i don’t like to go out but i also want to do a world tour (that shit didn’t match). throughout my whole graduation instead of participating in different events or going out with my friends, i found myself in my room reading books, watching any yt videos or studying.
i watched many videos of Andrew Huberman, Jordan Peterson, Lex Friedman, Cal Newport, Mark Manson, Robert Greene, and many more.
Due to always staying in my room, i do not know much about things. after watching many videos of Jordan Peterson i learn how to think, critical thinking. Then i read One of the best books ever written in the history of mankind “The 48 Laws of Power” That book changed me then i read many more books by Robert Green, now at this time i realized what i always wanted to know more about what I am passionate about.
From then onwards i started to read more about Fyodor Dostoevsky, Friedrich Nietzsche, Franz Kafka, and many more people.
I watched many videos of Andrew Huberman, Matt Walker, and many more which helped to learn more than my academics.
All of this helped me to learn more about how human behavior works, how human psychology works, how we can manipulate, etc. i feel that i have a better-than-average understanding of this.
What I Want to Do
I want to do more research about how our brain works and why we act in a certain way. i also want to become an author and writer and want to write books like Crime and Punishment, and Beyond Good and Evil. I think this is my first step towards my destiny.
Ending
Reader’s feedback: To be honest I have not written anything like this before in my life, so if you guys take a few minutes of yours to give any feedback (+ or — both fine) it will be really helpful THANK YOU.
Also tell me What interests you most about the intersection of Pharmacology, psychology, and philosophy? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
That’s it, this is Kirtañ signing off.
