A believer in everything happens for a reason and you’re never too old to change

Life has this magical way of guiding you in the direction of achieving your dreams. All you have to do is listen. When you don’t, it will find ways to open your eyes.

It took me a long time to open my eyes. For years I allowed a very ruthless inner critic to put me down and hold me back. I call her Linda.

At the time, I thought I was broken and not wired right. I questioned why I was the only one who just wasn’t getting it.

As a teenager, I searched for attention, love, and connection in all the wrong places. I was a rebel without a cause and I felt so misunderstood.

I wanted to escape my life.

And for a while, I thought I had.

In September 1999, at 20-years-old, I left my small hometown in Ontario, Canada.

I got a job working on cruise ships. It was an amazing 2-year experience.
