Addicted to kindness

Hello! I was born and raised (and am still living) in Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada. I work full time in a coffee shop and I absolutely love it!

I have been involved in horseback riding since I was 9 years old and have a horse named Maggie Mae who has been my best friend for the past 20 years.

I am an animal lover, an amateur baker, and I love a good Dad joke. I also love words. A few of my favourites are “synecdoche,” “litotes,” and “solemnity.” If you have a favourite word, I’d love to hear it!

When I was in elementary school, writing was my favourite subject. From a young age, I enjoyed being creative and using my imagination and wrote many short stories. Due to everything and nothing, writing has been on the backburner for me for quite some time — until now! I am so excited to see where Medium takes me and to find out if there are any creative writing juices left in my veins.

I expect I will write mainly poetry but I am not limiting myself. I like to write from both experience and inexperience and use writing as a tool to understand, interpret and expand my perspectives.
