Bio

I am Leena, based in India, and writing is my favorite language.

I have been writing since I was 11 years old.

Yes, I was in 4th grade when I wrote my first poem. It was in Hindi and quite interesting. The story behind it is more interesting, though.

We had a class with our class teacher, who was too busy to teach anything. Therefore, she asked us to take out a piece of paper and write something. She just wanted us to keep busy so that she could quietly do her work.

Well, since I was always very sincere, I took the task very seriously and ended up writing a poem. I instantly showed her, and she looked puzzled and annoyed.

She asked me to recite it to everyone, and when I did, that’s when I captured her attention. Yes, she was amazed to hear whatever I had recited. She appreciated my talent and asked me to continue doing so.

I was very happy to hear her words, and I would keep writing, showing whatever I would write to her and my English teacher. I used to get a lot of praise.

As I grew older, I realised that the initial work wasn’t quite good, but I was always very persistent enough to do it with the utmost dedication. Eventually, my writing improved.

Cut to 2020; I got my poem published for the first time. It was truly amazing.

Till today, my writings have been published on various platforms, and the feeling of holding the book in my hands feels…
