Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” unfolds a whimsical tale of a girl navigating a surreal world. Reflecting on my journey, I see parallels with the challenges I faced while venturing into the tech industry and the digital transformation landscape.

Alice: Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?

The Cheshire Cat: That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.

Alice: I don’t much care where.

The Cheshire Cat: Then it doesn’t much matter which way you go.

Alice: …So long as I get somewhere.

The Cheshire Cat: Oh, you’re sure to do that, if only you walk long enough.”

― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Curiosity and the Rabbit Hole

Much like Alice’s curiosity leading her down the rabbit hole, I found myself drawn into the vast and intricate world of technology. Growing up in the small town of Green Bay, WI, I knew at a young age my interests would be a better fit in a large city. As a teenager, I fell in love with art, music, and computers. I would take regular trips to Chicago to visit the Art Institute, concert venues, and the Apple store.
