Life is much more complicated and interesting when you dig beneath the surface… and so are we humans.

For example:

I love change and variety but I also value some routine. I get bored easily but I like structure and a bit of discipline, to get things done.

I love to dance though I’m not a trained dancer. You will often find me dancing around the kitchen or living room à la Sophie-Bexter Ellis, especially to Chaka Khan.

I adore fashion and fashion design but I rarely buy clothes. Partly because I’m into sustainability and circularity, and also because I’m very fussy about fabric, cut and finishing (am I giving Esme from Sewing Bee vibes?).

I’m a classically trained cellist but I like to play pop, too. I am not a great musician but can hold down a bassline with my husband who plays guitar and sings. Vin Ordinaire by Lloyd Cole is one of our favourites.

I love Northumberland in the UK where I grew up, but my heart is also in the Mediterranean, SE Asia and the Balkans. I love travel, culture and languages, have visited 43 countries, lived in 8 and learned 6 languages to various levels of proficiency.
