Hi! My name is Liv Pasquarelli. I was born and raised in New Jersey by an Italian immigrant father and Irish mother. I moved to Brooklyn in 2012 to study Communication Design at Pratt Institute, graduated in 2016, and continued to live and work in Brooklyn until 2020. Thanks to remote work and freelance writing, I was able to move to the beautiful state of Rhode Island in March 2020.
I write about feminism, eating disorder and addiction recovery, culture, mental health, LGBTQ+ issues and experiences, books, and history.
In 2018, I started a business with someone I had never met in person. We met on Reddit and had a shared passion for independent beauty brands. 3 years later, we run a successful online blog and Instagram page covering small business news, reviews, and interviews.
How I got to where I am today
I’ve been a writer my entire life. I have stacks of journals filled to the brim with my daily thoughts and experiences since I was old enough to write. I’ve also always been a voracious reader. I’m told that the only time I got in trouble at school was in 4th grade when I refused to put my book away during math class.
