I grew up on a small island in Sweden with my parents and my brother.

My grandparents on both sides of the family were farmers. So I spent a great deal of time around farms while growing up. I was also exploring the neighboring forests and climbing trees. Both alone and with friends.

When I started school, I had a hard time with the social rules, sensory issues, and lack of understanding of the context of situations. These are the most common problem areas you have as autistic.

That led to me getting into fights and not learning much in school. As an adult, I had to study from scratch when it was a calmer and safer environment.

I have written more about that in this article:

Growing up on the autism spectrum

After a few years of random jobs and partying, I spent most of the following decade studying, bodybuilding training, and practicing several martial arts. I have always liked being physically active.

I quit doing all extreme training at age 32. After that, I studied Filipino martial arts, gymnastic strength training, and MovNat. Nowadays, I train using a broad training regimen to keep mobility while minimizing the risk of injuries.
