About Me — Melissa Muro
Background Into My Self-Improvement Journey
I have had many challenges in my life and every step of the way I was led by Jesus.
I believe in getting help you need from professionals but I don’t discount the power of prayer in one’s life. I believe in the good in people and the love of God. Because of my mental illness, I had to apply many techniques to better myself.
Since I had so much practice in applying myself I have a flare for self-improvement and the power of the mind.
I tried going to church but I haven’t been able to bond with anyone. I don’t know why maybe I need to be more open maybe we are at different levels with our relationship with God. I don’t know I just know God is always working in my life.
Like when I went on a walk with my friends. Next to the sidewalk I was on was a ditch full of leftover metal supplies. As I was walking by I tripped and was about to fall in the ditch. When I felt someone pull me straight. I stood there looking around because my friends were behind me. It was totally an angel that saved me. Even when I am not looking God is looking after me.
Now I believe we come to earth knowing all the trauma we are going to go through we just forget it when we come down. As a child, I went through a lot of abuse and trauma. My journey through mental health hasn’t been the most healthiest way. But I got to a point where I am living that’s mentally healthy now. I have had a number of diagnoses depression and PTSD to name a couple. I will write about my journey.
Throughout my life I had applied many different techniques of helping myself through many problems. Some worked and some didn’t work. Working on my mental health help me or led me to self-improvement in my reading.
I love to read self-improvement and the law of attraction plus stoicism. I love books with activities in them to do. I will write about these subjects plus a little odd and ends.
