Hi, y’all! I’m Melissa Sirois.
(I don’t use the word “y’all” in real life because I’m a Yankee, but sometimes I find myself wishing I was a Southern spitfire.)
Like any good guest at a cocktail party, you might be dying to know…
“What do you do?”
I thought you’d never ask!
By day, I’m a corporate communicator for a large health care company, dabbling in social media and thought leadership. By night (and weekend), I’m an avid shopper, reader, and cook. I have a background in journalism and, more recently, marketing and public relations.
I’ve been a reader and a writer for as long as I can remember. I firmly believe you can’t do one — at least not well — without the other. I’ve always surrounded myself with books, notebooks, and the written word. There’s nothing quite like it!
“What do you write about?”
I write about life as I see it. This often includes anything from mental health to sociology, culture, or my first-person experiences. On my page you’ll also find musings on topics I’ve studied, such as marketing and branding, as well as thoughts on self-awareness and self-improvement.
