About Me — Michał P.
Let me give you a little spin about myself. Hold tightly
Hi everyone.
Let me introduce myself first. My name is Michał with that funny letter of ‘ł’ that gives my name this proper sound. If you are wondering how to pronounce it and know how to read it, please give it a go [ˈmixaw]. I’m a Polish citizen living in the United Kingdom for quite a while now. My name is recognised by British people as Michael, and this is when I was usually called after I introduced myself as Michał. The pronunciation was difficult for so many, therefore, I let them call me Michael until I actually started to make more effort and spent a bit more time teaching people how to call me by my original name. It’s hard work, you know :)
Coming back to times before I decided to leave my country, which I never actually thought about. This was not on my list of ‘to do’ and it came all of a sudden, but this is how your story is created by spontaneous and nowhere-coming thoughts.
If I were asked to describe my childhood and who I grew into, I would definitely say that I was always everywhere, on my feet from early morning to the bedtime routine, a kind of hyperactive child, then a teenager, and now a grown man. I loved being outside, playing games, chasing girls, climbing trees, and getting into trouble by not listening to my parents/teachers/other adults advice…
