About Me — Michela Pasquali
Be impeccable with your word. Don’t take anything personally. Don’t make assumptions. Always do your best. — Don Miguel Ruiz
I’m a freelance writer living in Toronto with my uber-talented husband, Kevin, our incredible 12-year-old son, Rowan and our excitable female Viszla, George Lucas.
I’ve always loved writing. I remember creating a poem for my mom when I was six, pouring out my love for her in verse and feeling disappointed slightly when she laughed at my words, so carefully handprinted in pencil, at my heart, so delicately laid open on the page.
Being vulnerable can be tough. But it’s all I know. Sometimes I’m proud of all that bravery and wholeheartedness, all that honest, naïve energy floating around inside and outside of me. It means I get to connect deeply with people.
It also means I get hurt.
But then I have a good cry, watch a Studio Ghibli film or read a Terry Pratchett book and life is good again. I witness love and hope and passion win big and I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
