About Me — Michelle Gray
The start of something new. Embracing the Journey.
Hi there! I’m Michelle, and I’m excited to embrace this journey of writing on Medium as I get to share my essence as a 5.1 in Human Design. I tell you this because this profile has significantly influenced the way I understand myself, how I perceive the world, connect with others, and express my ideas, and one of the ways for me to show up as my best self is by writing, who knew!
This is the start of a new beginning for me, I exposed myself to the idea of showing up in the world as my authentic intrinsic self and in turn working with who I am and not against it. I have deliberated over the idea of writing online for some time with all the common mind obstacles we all go through and as I write this with a tremble in my hands, I know this is the step I need to take to move in a direction I feel intrinsically pulled in.
The 5.1 Profile: The Heretic and the Investigator
As a 5.1. I love to shake things up, challenge norms, and inspire others, This means I have a natural inclination to explore new ideas and challenge the status quo. I thrive on seeking out innovative solutions, holistic perspectives, and overall ways to live a better life more aligned with our true self.
The Investigator aspect of my profile drives me to delve deep into subjects that pique my interest. I believe that knowledge is power, and I am passionate about uncovering truths and new perspectives that can benefit myself and others. Whether it’s through research, reading, or engaging in thoughtful discussions, I’m always on the hunt for insights that can shift perspectives.
Why I Write
I write to share my findings, thoughts, and experiences with others who might be on a similar journey. Medium offers a platform where I can connect with a community of like-minded individuals and those who can make a real difference, writing fills my cup and in turn, allows me to take part in fun aspects of life because without it I don’t feel content and fulfilled.
I am 37 years old and work a 9 to 6 job it pays the bills although all jobs I’ve ever had done just that. I was a young mum at 17, life was no longer about us we needed to obtain all the things an adult accumulated over their years before they became parents, we worked hard we got the jobs the pets the good nursery the good school the car the holiday the mortgage and now nearly 20 years later I have the opportunity to fully embrace getting to know myself. Over the years I have had to fight the urges to be me because ultimately, I was having to show up and get the job done, except fighting those urges has only made me more aware of reasons why life is easier when you get to be who you really are.
I was diagnosed with ADHD just as it was starting to boom on the internet, this opened a whole new meaning to being an individual in this world and as popular a subject it is, I still find generic answers to problems I have faced however I have the opportunity here to share my less generic solutions and stop adding to that problem. I really hope my articles spark curiosity and encourage others to explore their own paths. Whether I’m discussing personal development, changing perspectives, or the intricacies of Human Design, my goal is to foster dialogue and inspire change.
Let’s Connect!
I’m always eager to engage with fellow seekers and thinkers. If you resonate with my stories on this journey or simply want to share insights, don’t hesitate to reach out! Let’s explore the beauty of questioning, learning, and growing together.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I look forward to sharing more of my thoughts and experiences with you!
