From uncertainty to stability
HI, NICE TO MEET YOU!
I’m Miguel R and currently I work as an OutSystems Developer in Portugal. However, this wasn’t always the case. When applying to college, I was unsure of the path I should take, so I ended up enrolling in a Language, Literature, and Culture major.
MY JOURNEY
For some, this was a weird desicion since I had always said that I wanted to be a vet! But after my grandfather died, I entered an existential crisis, as this was the first time someone so near and dear to me had passed. I started questioning myself and everything around me, and the only thing that made sense to me was my love for music and reading, which I indulged in whenever I had the chance.
To me, it was obvious that I’d want to pursue one of the two and ended up choosing the latter. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made since I always recall those times fondly. I met a ton of interesting people with whom I debated new topics daily. And most importantly of all, I moved in with my girlfriend
