About Me — Muhammad Nasrullah Khan
My Writing Journey
My literary life is like a wild tree that grows in the desert and depends on the rain. It has to face the heat of the sunlight and the harsh winds. If it grows up, it remains untrimmed and unappreciated. But if it survives, its fragrance spreads in the desert, and its shadow saves the life of the traveler. I survived, in spite of all the bitter ‘weathers’ and ‘storms’, and continued my journey.
When I learned how to read, I read a book of fairy tales. It took me to the strange lands where there was beauty and love. I remained in those beautiful lands for many years. Later on, I realized that real life was quite the opposite of the world I read about in fairy tales.
I grew up, leaving behind those fairy tales. Though life turned hard in terms of getting adjusted in the mundane world, my dreams remained high. My interest was literature, and I was taught a lot of subjects, but not storytelling. So, writing remained informal studies for me.
