Languages have played a significant role in my life since I was eleven years old when I started learning French at school. It opened up a whole new world of a foreign culture and language, one I have been pursuing ever since.
Countries
Born and raised in N. Ireland, I did not envision settling to live there; perhaps it was due to the island syndrome of wanting to explore beyond!
My journey has allowed me to study and work as a TEFL teacher in several countries: France, Germany, South Korea, North Macedonia, Russia and now Cyprus.
I highly recommend getting a TEFL qualification if you have a restless spirit and a dose of wanderlust — working while travelling not only pays the bills but opens a larger window into the mindset and mores of the country.
