I’m currently ignoring some law school homework to write out a brief introduction here. Such is the way of things.

Hello! My name is Pana (they/them). I’m a 24 year-old, Greek-American living in New York. I’d like to consider myself a creative writer with a passion for fantasy and nature who somehow ended up in law school. Canada just wasn’t for me I suppose (no elaboration will be following).

Like a lot of us here on Medium, I love writing. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. Even though I haven’t published the YA fantasy/post-apocalyptic novel of my dreams yet, I still consider myself to be a writer. I love crafting stories and using my writing as a means of understanding the world around me. Not all writing has to have a lesson or a point to it, but I often find that writing helps me think through something I’ve experienced or something I’m curious about. It allows me to take a step back and see things from a slightly different perspective. Hopefully, if I experience similar situations in the future, my writing practice will help me to react in different ways and be more understanding and compassionate.
