Thinking About What Others Think About

Photo of the Author

I am a holistic problem solver and change analyst interested in practical, ethical, and sustainable solutions to intractable strategic challenges. I think of everything as a system of systems. People are systems within the system of a business, and the business a system within the system of a community. I try to understand the relationships and rationales — and, in some cases, realities.

I’m interested in what’s true, regardless of what intuition tells us. I have developed a keen interest in finding out what is real, reasonable, and rational, especially when the outcomes are strongly felt and weakly measured — perhaps blame my time as a business analyst. I want to understand what moves and motivates the world so that I can then help the world to understand and grow. My constant query is something like, “What makes this position/choice/belief make sense to those it makes sense to?”

I have a passion for building engaged teams and engaging cultures and pursue that course with expertise in organizational development, project management, instructional design, and teaching/training. I love to uncover the barriers to organizational change, discover and make explicit the actual values of an organization and its people, and chart a path from those principles to new ideas and opportunities.
