Where do I begin?
Writing about yourself is probably one of the hardest things any one can ask. To expose your soul in one place, one go and let the internet keep it forever!
I guess the reason we write though is to expose our soul, piece by piece, so why not in a bigger chunk!
I was born in Durham, County Durham, in the North East of the UK (or as I like to call it — ‘the greatest part of the UK’), however my time spent there was brief as we moved to North London, then Kent for my Dad’s new career as a Church of England Vicar.
I’m the youngest of three, with one older brother and older sister. My Dad became a vicar when I was 3, so I spent most of my child hood living in vicarages. My mum is a language teacher.
I learnt early on that church folk are the best and worst of humanity. There’s nothing like being a vicar’s child to be subjected to every kind of judgement possible, both in the church and out of the church.
My childhood was complicated but also simple. My sister is a bi-polar, my brother has aspergers. Neither of these got diagnosed until late teens/early adulthood, so it meant I had to deal with my sister’s manic phases from a young age. less of a challenge was my brother’s behaviour — back then, it just came across as your sterotypical ‘geek’, although for…
