About Me — Radha Mishra
Free, Fierce, and Not for the Fainthearted
Would you dare to love a woman who’s free, fierce, and full of fire? A woman who speaks her mind, stands her ground, and refuses to play by anyone’s rules? I’ve learned, time and again, that many won’t.
They say I’m too blunt. Too honest. In their words, whenever I speak, I spill poison. Some even say I shouldn’t get married. (And that's because I’ve always hated the kitchen. Still do.)
You know what all of them have in common?
My honesty makes people uncomfortable.
But that honesty was earned through years of surviving, observing, and enduring. Years I was left behind, questioned, judged, silenced, labeled, bullied. I don’t smile to make others feel safe. I’ve endured too much not to know the truth, and I won’t water it down to be liked. I don’t pretend. I speak what’s real. And if that unsettles you, so be it. I’m not here to please. I’m here to be.
Hi, I’m Radha Mishra. I'm a Bihari girl born and raised in Kolkata, worked and shaped in Delhi, and am writing this today from Mumbai. I am a journalist, a writer, a woman, a mother, a wife, a daughter. But before all that, I am unapologetically me; I have always been and will be!
