About Me — Rick Knight
Learning, ever-learning, what it’s all about.
Though I have shared clips of my bio many times over the years, I don’t think I have ever formally written it out in condensed form, (or any other form). I’m going to have a go at it here, and see what it looks like!
I started as a child. Then I grew up.
There, that brings us up to speed. Now, in an overview, I see my life as filled with opportunities, some taken, some not, but all appreciated. A wonderful, loving wife and family, nearly constant travels, and a carefree spirit have worked together to get me where I am now. Oh, there have been tragedies. Terrible ones indeed. But we will leave those to another post, perhaps.
It might be easiest to break things up a bit, so here goes:
Early ministry life.
I married my pastor’s daughter some 40+ years ago. This remains today as the single best decision I have ever made! I’m so glad Jennifer said yes!
Five years later I became an ordained minister, and a life of serving others began, as we raised a family at the same time. I have to say, now that we have settled down, that it was a hoot! As I reflect upon it, it is always amazing to me that I can say, without hesitation, that I have many hundreds of personal friends…
