About Me — Robin Banks
Here’s what you need to know…
I’ll begin this “About Me” by talking about my favorite animal…
The Raccoon is one of the most recognizable mammals in North America. Distinguished by their face mask, ringed tail, and grey fur, they cause mischief and dive into the trash bins of suburban households (hence the nickname Trash Panda). But despite their sometimes troublesome reputation, Raccoons perfectly encapsulate the curiosity of humanity.
Right now, we’re exploring interstellar neighborhoods and trying to make contact with other planets. The James Webb telescope, for example, may lead to the discovery of alien life. And on Mars, our interplanetary neighbor, we’re peering back in time at long-lost oceans that haven’t existed for millions of years. Humanity, so to speak, is opening the proverbial trash can to uncover secrets of the universe. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll find something awesome.
You’ll be surprised to know that I’m not an astronaut and will (probably) never work at NASA. But that doesn't prevent me from making a positive impact on humanity. And that’s certainly a goal that can be achieved by writing funny articles on Medium.
Let me explain more…
