You know those hippie kids who used to sing “Hope I die before I get old”?

That’s me.

Except now that I’m old, big surprise, I no longer feel that way.

Though I’m still a hippie.

Here I am today with my husband, Gary, and dog, Jake. I still hate authority and yeah, you’re damn straight I don’t look 67. That’s what being a vegetarian will do for you.

This is where my adult kids chime in and say, “Okay, Boomer, simmer down.”

My kids are very, very cool. They’re all musicians. Julie is a bass player, she has a solo career, but for the last 15 years, she’s played bass in the Adrian Belew Power Trio. Adrian was guitarist for David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Talking Heads, King Crimson, and Laurie Anderson.
