About Me — Rohith Mahadev
A great journey towards being an AI sentinel
23 February 2018, a day when I had my first nervous breakdown because of exams, questioning my decision to proceed further! I decided not to think of anything but my past mistakes that taunted me altogether. No one was there, no one helped. The light was setting down in my room, amidst the chaos in my head that repeatedly said “It’s over!”. Then, there comes a voice! “Whoof whoof”, charming, energetic, cheerful, and happily running towards me! Yes, you guessed it right! My dog. The day I started to feel something about emotions and feelings. That day, I started facing my problems with a bold heart.
Completing my school and starting CS Undergrad was the first bold step in my life. Having a biology background and acing computer science in college was a major flex in my life.
I come from a small suburban town near Chennai and now I am in Canada. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Management degree with a concentration in Analytics from Odette School of Business. If you ask me to define myself in 4 words, I would go like

Equipped with a strong foundation in Artificial intelligence, Business analytics, and machine learning, I have experience with a variety of data tools and technologies.
With exceptional data science skills, I am ready to make a positive impact in any data-driven organization. I am ideal because of my enthusiasm, energy, and eagerness to learn and implement new ideas. The reason I love analytics more is because of the insights that I get from it. Combining them with my psychological abilities is the cherry on top!
Right now, I am in a place where I am on cloud nine! Yes, you heard me right. Coming to a new country, new place, and starting a new life with three bags, 15000 km away from my home was not an easy job. Guess what! I did it anyway.
Content creation and motivational lectures have always been an integral part of me. I cherish happiness in the pursuit of teaching others my knowledge. Recently, an idea that popped somewhere in my brain made me explore Medium more. In this way, I am planning to follow a technique that I quite often use. The ‘Learn and Teach’ method will help me to ace my skills and also reach my followers about my thoughts, intuitions, and findings.
I started to freelance when I was in 3 rd year of college. Initially, I thought freelancing could be done only for software development. But HEY! it's a tech revolution! I engaged myself to ‘How can I freelance Machine learning and Analytics’.
In Medium, I would like to cover topics like Data Science, Analytics, Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Deep learning, Positivity, motivational lessons, life challenges, techniques and tips for learning, and many more.
In the era where AI takes over everything, I always wanted to voice out my opinion saying “AI takes control, but we control AI”. Therefore, I start my journey of content creation from here and embark on this beautiful journey with my followers!
