Even though I’ve been on Medium for almost three months now, today is the day I finally wrote an article introducing me as a person, reader, and author. I know, I never do things in order.
Regardless, hello everyone, readers and fellow authors! My name is Sandra, and I’m a book lover, gaming geek/streamer, analyst for social media to pay the bills, and of course, an author from Portugal, nice to meet you all!
A Little Bit About Me and My Childhood
Growing up and since I can recall anything from my childhood, I have loved books and writing stories. My earliest memory of that is of me writing a story about a boy whose birthday fell on Christmas day (but that’s literally a story for another day). After that, I remember my aunt bringing me those books about kids being detectives, to finally, I in my teenage years begging my mom to buy me a new book every week.
Other than that, I was and continue to be curious about numerous things — History, Cinema, Music, Video Games, a little bit of Philosophy, the Universe, the ever-so-terrifying big, bad, blue Ocean, etc.
I loved writing in Portuguese and even English classes in middle and high school; my essays were always picked to be read out loud…
