A very mediocre Jack of all trades, trying to learn how to write
I was born half an hour before noon, on a cold winter day. Every year on my birthday, my mother describes the pains of childbirth she endured to bring me into this world. I was two weeks early and came out feet first.
“I wouldn’t trade you for anything,” she adds at the end of the story.
She named me ‘precious’ (or ‘plump’, depending on how you pronounce it). She insists that I am very precious, and it must be true because my mom knows everything.
I’m currently 26 years old, but I will be older pretty soon. I heard it happens to everyone and it’s terminal.
I’m a Bosnian woman living in Australia. I haven’t been here long, but I have yet to see a deadly animal other than a really big crocodile at the Melbourne Aquarium. I don’t think it counts, but it pays to be transparent about these things.
However, I do live in the Northern Territory, which is the most Australian part of Australia. You can’t swim in the ocean because you will die a very painful death. There is a species of box jellyfish…
