About Me — Sheryll James
In a nutshell — I’m on a lifelong path in pursuit of cracking my outer nutshell to discover the nut within
I love authenticity, so it’s a bit challenging to write my bio with a flamboyant flair. I prefer to be accepted as-is, and that calls for transparency. I want to treat you, my reader, like a good and trustworthy friend.
When I was eight, I sat down with a pen, paper, and copy of Leaves of Gold to write a list of “rules to live by.” I needed structure in my life, and I longed for words of wisdom to enable me to navigate in my chaotic home. Thus — the beginning of my lifetime search for that elusive something more.
I have 67 years of life experience and am still searching — because it is enjoyable. I found what I was seeking and discovered I prefer questions more than answers.
I’m a retired physical therapist and have lived in Bloomington, IL, for the past eight years. My roots are in Spokane, WA., where I resided for 58 years. I lived in my daughter’s and husband’s home until recently. Now, I live in a cute little one-bedroom apartment.
They now have five kids, and the noise just got a little too MUCH. Also, I have three more grandkids in Atlanta, GA.
And — so — I have EIGHT grandchildren, and I’m not the typical “cookie baking Grandma.” I am more like the “TV Grandma.”
