About me — Shilpa Shree
A seeker of stories, colours, and adventures
Who am I? I believe it’s not titles or degrees that define us, but the experiences we navigate and the lessons we learn along the way.
I am resilient, I am strong, and I love learning and exploring new things. Grief, I believe, is an emotion not everyone truly understands, perhaps because they haven’t yet experienced a significant loss in their life. Losing my mom taught me the complexity of grief, an emotion not everyone understands until they face a significant loss. Grief, with its stages of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, demands patience and time. For me, reaching acceptance was a journey that reshaped my understanding of life. The TV show After Life beautifully captures this experience.
What makes me curious? What makes me creative?
Photography and travel are, and always will be, my passions. Whether it’s experiencing new cultures and ethnicities, walking through a lane I’ve never explored before, or capturing the vibrant colors of the streets, these moments make me lose all sense of time. My love for photography stems from my dad and his Kodak camera, which preserved my childhood in albums. I began with landscapes but now enjoy street photography, particularly I enjoy capturing colours of the streets.
