About Me — Simone Cavagnoli
I like to talk about news, society, and crime.
Hello there! My name is Simone, and I was born 28 years ago in a small town in Northern Italy. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been interested in topics related to crime and justice. This interest led me to study sociology, criminology, and forensic psychiatry at university. I wanted to learn the tools to understand the society around me and use that knowledge to make a positive impact. For this reason, as a student I wrote in 2022 an essay for a competition on fighting the mafia phenomenon. My essay, titled “Strategy for Youth Conformism to Legality,” won the competition. It will be published this year in a volume intended for future anti-mafia professionals.
After completing my university studies, I began working at an investigation and security agency for a year. At the same time, I started collaborating with some Italian online newspapers that focused on topics related to crime, such as terrorism, mafia, and serial murder.
In addition to my interest in writing, I have always been an avid reader. My writing style focuses on being both enjoyable and objective. I believe that articles should not only entertain readers but also provide them with valuable knowledge.
I currently reside in Italy, but I intend to move to a different country within the next five years, perhaps the United States. Until then, I will keep you entertained with my articles on news, society, and crime, which may be a bit controversial. My aim is to collect opinions and insights from readers that can enhance my own. Although my writing is primarily rooted in my experiences in Italy, I am also intrigued by global phenomena and their interconnections across countries.
