About Me — Sneh
I am. I have always been. My journey surprises me every day.
Hello, I’m Sneh and people generally call me “Snehhh”. In many ways, the word Love shapes my personality, which is the word that stands for my name. At the moment I am enjoying my final teenage years, which means that I am now legally an adult, so it’s a great time for me. I am 19 years old. Yay!
I’m an aspiring writer and have been writing on Medium since last year. I like to write about a variety of topics, ranging from mental health to nature and philosophy.
I’m quite a traveler and have been to many places that resonate deeply with me. Each place has its own special charm, and I’m always excited to explore new places.
Where are you from?
So basically, I’m from a small town called “Sonipat”, located in Haryana, India.
What do you do for a living?
I’m currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in a combination of psychology and philosophy along with another Bachelor’s degree in computer application. I’m a full-time student who also writes part-time.
What are your medium goals?
To be honest, particularly, I haven’t expected much, but to me, Medium is a platform that would give me exposure and would take me to the next step of betterment.
Which topics do you like to write about on Medium?
I love to write about all things, mental health, love, life, nature, and every insignificant thing one hardly pays attention to. I find that writing about these topics allows me to explore my own experiences and emotions, and it helps me process my own life.
What makes you unique?
I personally feel that I have a unique and undeniable aura. I’m emotionally available and easy to connect with, which makes it very easy for me to connect with and influence a lot of people. I’m an ambivert kind of person who enjoys spending time with both introverts and extroverts. I’m also a great listener and I try to put myself in other people’s shoes to truly understand their perspective. I’m quite creative and I love to express my thoughts through writing, drawing, and other forms of art.
More about my life.
- In 2022, I was suffering from major anxiety attacks due to which I had been in depression for quite a long period of 6–8 months. I decided to take matters into my own hands and start taking care of my mental health.
- I started seeing a therapist and doing regular exercise, meditation, and journaling which helped me immensely, and eventually, I could overcome my anxiety attacks.
- Furthermore, I started reading books about personal development and listening to inspiring podcasts. All these activities have not only helped me to become more emotionally available to people, but it has also helped me to become a better version of myself.
- I recently adopted a vegan lifestyle and I’m loving it. I feel more energized and my skin is clearer. I recommend it to everyone. I’m also trying to reduce my carbon footprint.
- I switched to menstrual cups so as to reduce plastic waste and live a more sustainable lifestyle. To go one step further, I started using reusable bags, avoiding single-use plastics, and even started composting. It’s small steps like these that really add up and make a huge difference in the long run.
- I absolutely love watching spine-chilling crime thrillers and comedies at the same time. There hasn’t been anything in particular that inspired me to do this, but my motto is always Netflix and chill.
- I’m a total Bollywood freak and I love all types of music, from oldies to new releases. I’ve been listening to Indian music my entire life, and I love all kinds of different genres. I’m always looking for new music to add to my playlists.
- I am growing up too fast. It’s an ongoing, scary, and humbling process. But I am grateful to have gained and applied the knowledge that most don’t have. About themselves or the world. It’s also a responsibility. To keep the palm still under the ever-growing growth, for my own sanity and that of those around me.
- I thought I’d contain all this inside, but a strong urge to pour it all out in words had been growing inside. And at this present moment in life, all I want to do is express myself.
- I have been one of the most open and outspoken people in my life, since the beginning. But there is so much that no one knows. There are some that everyone knows, and some that no one knows.
I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life, which will invariably bring a variety of experiences, challenges, and opportunities for me. I’m a freelance writer who enjoys exploring creative ideas and projects. I’m always looking for creative ways to challenge myself and expand my horizons.
With this newfound freedom and responsibility, I am excited to embrace the next phase of my life and explore the world of creative writing.
My life would just be impossible if I were to remain on track by myself, so I would want to extend my humble greetings to and for being such a great source of strength. Without a doubt, they have become integral to my journey and my life as a whole.
