Honestly, I think that I’m not good at writing and it is pretty surprising that I’m here, at 10 pm, after putting the kids to bed, writing something personal that will go live…

I just turned 40, and perhaps this phase of middle age, a time when you reflect on your achievements and compare them to the plans you had envisioned for yourself, along with some additional frustrations, is the reason why I feel the need to express my feelings and share my story.

Starting with the basics, I am Italian, a mother of two kids, 3 and 8, happily married, and I live in a beautiful town on the Adriatic coast, the perfect tourist place. We are healthy and happy (as every standard and always-running family can be). So, nothing more to desire.

But then, there’s my job… I’m also a big worker, a very passionate person who needs to be actively engaged to feel energized. I can work for entire days because I love my job. I enjoy facing challenges and constantly strive to learn and improve. I love marketing, which I studied at the university, and I love tech products, numbers, and data. So, it’s a weird combination, finding a job that covers all this with the Italian small-town charm that’s a great place for tourists.
