Let me guess — you saw the words AI/ML Researcher and thought this was gonna be one of those intros. The kind that sounds like it was written by a bot. Ironically, I work with bots — but I promise, I’m all human (with just a little extra love for logic and data).
Hi, I’m Tanjil. I’m an AI/ML researcher and full-stack software engineer currently based in Bangladesh, pursuing my Master’s in Computer Science at BUET. My days usually involve juggling research papers, complex datasets, and lines of code — and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
How It All Clicked
I’ve always been the type to tinker, explore, and question how things work under the hood. What started with pure curiosity evolved into a deep passion for AI — the kind that keeps you up at 3AM debugging a neural net just because you know it’s about to work. My research dives deep into Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and Spatio-temporal Data Analysis. I’m constantly looking for ways to turn data into something meaningful — something that helps people make smarter decisions or understand the world a little better.
But it’s not all academic — I also work as a Software Engineer at MetaDesign Solutions. There, I get to flex my full-stack skills and build real-world applications that actually do things. Whether I’m designing sleek UI with React, optimizing backends in Node, or building 3D experiences with react-three/fiber, I love bringing ideas to life with code.
Why I Write
I’m here on Medium not just to talk tech — but to connect. To make AI feel a little less intimidating and a lot more human. I want to share the things I learn, the breakthroughs I hit (after failing five times first), and the random insights that pop up at the most unexpected times.
Writing helps me slow down, reflect, and articulate the “why” behind all the work I do. Whether it’s breaking down a research concept, sharing tips from my dev life, or just talking about the tech that excites me — I hope you’ll find something here that sparks your own curiosity.
