I am a human, a woman, a daughter, an immigrant, a pet mum— astrologically a Pisces — a daydreamer, a giver, a crier — professionally a human rights advocate — a writer, a painter, an animal lover…
Which part of me do I introduce to you first?
Which part of me does the world want to know about?
A question I ask myself too often, which parts of me, my experiences in this world and how I walk about it is for me, and what part of it is to share with others?
I was a traveler from a young age — born in a village in Germany to two loving parents who emigrated from Iran in their youth. I was raised across different places from Germany, to the USA, to Switzerland. I never truly felt I belonged anywhere — not to my cultures, my religion, my languages, a specific profession, most friend groups — I don’t think I ever grasped the human experience the ‘world’ was trying to sell to me. Why am I here? Why are we here?
You could say I have spent much of my life on a journey of learning, unlearning, and seeking to understand everything about being human / humanity.
