You know what seemed easy until I actually sat down to do it? Writing about myself.

I suppose I should start with the most important part: Hi, I’m Tasha! I’m a Sagittarius, love bacon and any kind of sour candy (it balances out how sweet I am of course), and I’m always up for long walks on the beach. Or hikes in the mountains. Or even a stroll at a park! I’d also happily fight someone to defend Betty White’s honor.

Trying to list all my interests would be like herding cats, but I suppose the most noteworthy would be my fascination with true crime, history, tattoos, travel, and my search for the Daddest of all Dad jokes.

If a cow doesn’t produce milk, is it a milk dud or an udder failure?

While I do a lot of true crime writing, I could definitely never pick one niche and stick with it. Finding Medium is probably one of the best things that’s ever happened to me — I love writing about all sorts of random things just as much as I love reading everyone else’s work, and I’m so inspired by all of you here!

I was born and raised in upstate New York, and worked in healthcare until I had a “what am I doing with my life?” moment brought on by a particularly bad break-up. I quit my job at the hospital I’d been at for 6 years, and took a job doing travel contract work…
