Childhood days were truly a blessing. Not only did we not have to worry about making money but it also gave us the freedom to choose what we want to be when we grow up.
So naturally at a certain point in time, my friends and I were discussing what we wanted to become when we grow up. One said ‘he wants to be a pilot’, while the other said ‘he’d be a scientist’, some would say doctors and engineers and everything you can imagine.
But I was different. Since the early days of my life, I knew I was not like most other people and was born to do something special. I wanted to be a space detective. I would be solving intergalactic murders and bringing justice to this universe. Definitely not inspired by Sherlock Holmes and Star Wars, nope, there is no way anyone ever imagined Hercule Poirot in space, or even James Bond and Ethan Hunt.
Here I am, nearly 20 years after that innocent conversation, still not sure how to go about the business of life.
