A little bitty bio
This photo was last taken last fall (2022) on an RV adventure to Fidalgo Island where we visited the top of Mt. Erie near Anacortes WA just a short jaunt from our home in Bellingham, WA
After spending the last 72 (73 on St. Patrick’s day!) years listening, learning, loving, thinking, searching, hurting, healing, being still, moving, working, playing, but above all, listening— that I finally felt I have something to say that might contribute to the human conversation.
Perhaps in part, it was a lack of confidence that held me back before. In part, it might have been the lack of enough ego to put me out there. But likely it has something to do with finally being retired and having the time to devote to creative passions.
And it may be that’s just as well. I have had so many experiences in life — dozens of jobs, and dozens of relationships, which have expanded my awareness. I used to bemoan the fact that I never stayed at a job long enough to earn a pension, and wondered how I would manage. Now I feel gratitude for the richly full life I am leading. I believe these experiences imbue my writing with a realness, immediacy, and sincerity that is palpable. I hope that through…
