A Life in Words, Healing, and Reckoning
I’m hard to fit on the cards.
But I write because I cannot remain silent.
There are stories within me — inherited, lived, imagined — bubbling under the surface with a refusal to stay mute.
Because culture, faith, love, desire and generally life are messy, nuanced, and complicated. And I want to name the mess with truth, tenderness, and fire.
I write to deconstruct, unlearn and relearn the world I’ve inherited and the world I’m creating — for myself, for Black women, for anyone willing to explore the edges of their own truth as I have and continue to do.
My work lives where healing, culture, Black womanhood, spirituality, philosophy, sex, and freedom meet, with a particular focus on:
