About Me — Vaibhav Bhosle
My life till now
Of all the articles I have written on Medium, this is going to be the toughest one. But, let me try.
Hi, I am Vaibhav. I was born and bred in the sun and rains of Bombay. Like any average Indian guy, Cricket was my first love before I got sucked into the rat race. Engineering grad and Finance post-grad, currently stuck in the whirlwind of corporate slavery.
The money I earned helped me to fund my backpacking trips. I found a divine experience hiking on unexplored paths and uncharted territories. Fun fact — I went to Iran in November 2019.
I am not exactly a movie buff, but yeah, I could do a doctorate in Tarantino movies. I love watching movies that broaden my perspective. Exhibit A. Fight Club.
A decade ago, I took refuge in reading, trying to escape this fake world. Whether it is fiction or non-fiction, I do not prefer sticking to one particular genre. I will not call myself a consistent reader but more of an impulsive one.
Reading, in turn, motivated me to pen down my thoughts. I found myself attempting a novel at 22 (I am 30 now). I wrote a few blog posts too. Self-doubt, self-judgement, whatever it was that lead to the abandonment, is still a mystery to me. Anyways I continued to read voraciously.
Cut to 2020. Coronavirus forced a lockdown across the world. I thought I would not find an opportunity to fulfil my dream of writing fiction with all the time in hand. So I decided to rekindle my romance with writing and finished my first novel.
I am here on Medium to express myself to the fullest and find my audience in the process. Well, this is what it is till now.
