I have a habit of just jumping in without reading the instructions and, every once in a while, it comes back to bite me on the rear end. I’d been on Medium a couple of months before I discovered I was supposed to introduce myself!

Better late than never, though, I guess, so here it is:

I am a reading fool. I don’t have a TBR pile: I have TBR piles, plural. Because I will talk about books on here so often, I have signed up as a Bookshop.org affiliate so I can provide links to make it easy for you to pick up anything you see that you’re interested in reading and support your local bookshop at the same time. (As an affiliate, I will earn small commissions on anything you buy through my links and, unlike Buy Me a Coffee, it costs you nothing.)

I used to tell my husband I was beat and go to bed at 8:00, only to still be up turning pages until my eyes crossed at 2 a.m. I carried a book in my bag, took books into the tub with me, could knock out a novel a week easy. I don’t have that kind of energy anymore, but I do still have two or three books in progress at any one time, a half a dozen or more on deck, and still more on holds lists at my local library.
