About Me — Vrunda Nagpal
Hello!
I’m Vrunda Nagpal, I am a Client Services professional from India with over a decade of experience in the Luxury Retail Industry. I currently live in New Delhi with my husband & my mother-in-law.
If you are familiar with India, you know it is one of the most culturally diverse nations in the world. Everything from ethnicity & religion to language and food differs when you move from one state to the next. My parents hail from two different north Indian states, and my sister & I were raised in the south of India. This made me empathetic toward people from different walks of life from an early age.
My work took me across the world and brought me in touch with people from Hong Kong to Hawaii. My experiences have made me adaptable & intuitive in both my personal life as well as my career.
I’ve always been conscientious about my work, and success in my career went a long way in helping me overcome the many insecurities I had! Then 2020 happened. It has been a challenging year for me as it has for so many others. I was let go from a great job and was locked down with every bitter thought I had ever had.
After a lot of complaining & cursing and with the support of my family and friends (especially my endlessly patient husband) I finally began to look at the opportunities. I have had time to read every book I could get my hands on! I’ve been flexing my culinary skills as well as trying my hand at gardening.
While doing all of the above, there was one thing that excited & scared me in equal measure –
Writing!
As a child I was a natural storyteller, rattling off whimsical tales at the slightest nudge. Somewhere along the way, I lost this, and now I’m taking steps to get it back.
I’ve started contributing to Medium as well as my own blog vrundanagpal.com, to write about what I know and stay up-to-date with dynamically changing times. Eventually, I hope I will re-discover the wordsmith in me.
