About Me – Warren Thurlow

I was born on a farm in Africa in the late 1980’s. Our farm was majestic, my family happy and thriving. I had a magical childhood.
I cherish the magnificent memories!
Wandering through the savanna on a warm summer morning. The sight of a Sable standing resolute atop a rocky outcrop. The sound of the Guinea Fowl echoing amongst hills. The sweet smell of the first drops of rain on dusty ground. The sight of the classic African sunset, wildlife silhouetted against the golden orb on the horizon. The wildlife, oh the wildlife! I do miss it so.
Africa is an enchanting place, and once it’s in your blood it never leaves! Once and for all a son of Africa.
In the early 2000’s, under less than ideal circumstances, we immigrated to Australia. Another golden country and how lucky we were to arrive in a place so welcoming and full of opportunity!
I finished my schooling and then attended university. I graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Project Management.
Following University I held positions as a site engineer, project engineer and eventually project manager across various organisations in civil construction.
