Getting personal about autism and special needs
As any parent of a child with special needs knows, maneuvering the public school system often means compromising on the quality of necessary services. School districts may not always provide the personalized care and consistency to help special needs students achieve their academic and social goals. This threatens to set students with special needs back in their learning processes: jeopardizing their futures and abilities to be independent.
That’s why I founded NESS Behavior Consulting in 2018, with the mission of filling that gap in care. Our clients do not have to depend solely on the school system when looking to improve upon the symptoms of their children’s special needs. We work with families to create an environment of positive and proactive learning at home.
We specialize in applying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for youth with developmental disabilities that impede their learning ability.
The students we work with have a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but intersections with other disorders make it necessary to be adaptable and well-rounded.
