Being in an LDR sucks.
You should never approach a long distance relationship lightly. It’s one of those things that are possible, yes, but are oh so difficult.
Just think about it. A relationship is hard enough. There’s this whole new person that you have to get to know, work around, and love. Yes, it’s beautiful. Yes, it makes your life better (if its the good kind.)
But it’s also difficult. Anyone who’s been in a serious relationship know that.
Take all those problems, those complexities, and multiply that a hundred fold. That’s a long distance relationship. As amazing as technology has gotten, there’s simply no alternative to being physically there with your loved one.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but constant distance can make the heart bitter, if you’re not careful.
Going into our relationship, we kind of knew that LDR was going to be difficult. But we didn’t really understand just how hard it was.
The worst thing? We couldn’t find any resource about it. There were a couple of corporate blogs, tips and tricks from faceless brands. But nothing really human, no people offering hope and solace.
So, we decided to do something about it.
Who are we, and why are we doing this?
We’re Theo and Jas. We’re two 20-somethings, we’re deeply in love with each other. And, we’re more than 100 miles apart.
We’ve been together for two years now. And while it hasn’t been easy, we’re managing to have a healthy relationship. We’ve put in a lot of work to get this far — and we’re going to put more still.
The result? I can honestly say that we have a much better relationship compared to some of our peers. And all by just meeting about thrice a year (we call every day, though.)
We never thought we’d be in a long distance relationship. But we’re glad we did. Because while it’s difficult, we know it’s going to be worth it, in the end.
That’s what we’re here to share about.

We don’t think anyone wants to be in an LDR long term.
But we think, sometimes, it’s something you have to do. Because the love is worth it. After all, we’re on this Earth for a blip. So, when we find that person, we go all in.
But just because it’s difficult, doesn’t mean it can’t be easier.
That’s why we’re here. We’re here to ease your pain by talking about our journey, sharing our best tips and tricks, and talking to you, our readers.
Together, we’re going to try and develop our little corner of the internet, a community that will spread awareness, love, and support for anyone unfortunate enough to be in an LDR.
