Hello!
My name is Vuthy Huot.
I’m a new writer on Medium. I’m a student and hospital volunteer.
I have a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, and a minor in computer science.
Studying philosophy taught me to question reality. Studying biochemistry taught me how astonishingly complex life is. Those influences find their way into almost everything I write.
I believe that writing and fiction serve an existential purpose. I write in multiple genres.
I write short stories.
I am also working on completing my first novel.
It’s about a futuristic city that used to be Los Angeles and a detective who has strange recurring dreams of a utopian city that seems to be located on another world or planet and who discovers that the dreams might indicate that he is actually a robot-person and that these dreams are how his mind interprets his programming, so he tries to find out what parts of his reality are real and which are simulations for controlling the robot-people.
