After ten years at The U School, I am taking a sabbatical.
Decisions like this, such as living on half my salary can be intimidating, but I deserve some time off, and I know what I have learned over the past decade has prepared me for whatever is next.
As I prepare for this new journey, I want to reflect on this season I’m wrapping up. From adapting to new ways of learning and supporting each other during the pandemic, and grappling with the heartbreaking loss of a student to gun violence, my time at the U School has defined so much of who I am now. And It can be challenging to process all the moments that define us, but when life calls you to embark on a new journey that aligns with where you are, you must answer.
