Are we right in mocking GenZ?
Before Gen Z, there were millennials. Before millennials, there were Gen X & before them were Baby Boomers.
Why am I talking about all these generations? The reason is categorization. We humans always find a way to categorize everything around us in some way or the other. While this quality of humans helps in some cases, it is uncalled for in cases where no one asked you to do so.
Currently, Gen Z is the one facing the wrath of society. More so in terms of mocking this generation for being naive & impractical. But, who are we to judge them & why are we judging them? Ain’t we the ones who are responsible for their upbringing & behavior? Ain’t we the ones who shaped their character & worldview whenever they interacted with us on any common platform? Ain’t we the ones they idolized while growing up?
The reality is we manifested this generation & when it came to reality, we are finding it difficult to accept them. This mostly shows a two-faced side of human behavior, which is good or bad is for you to decide.
The objective should be to give any kid growing up the right direction, a character & healthy environment for the future good of society. But, we grown-ups ended up giving them tags, which they didn’t even ask for. We should accommodate this generation for who they are.
